Henceforth
Her sign
shall be
Turtle
on hind toes
forelegs flailing.
Far beyond doubt’s
skinny shade,
she is falling
on her tail
again,
to spend perhaps
eternity under the sky
cursing gravity, inertia,
and her hard
damned shell.
